This week, FSJSS' Digital Media Arts teacher, Andrew Vogelsang, gathered his drone class for a virtual consultation with the John Prince Research Forest's social media intern, Mackenzie Kerr. These students will be heading out to the research forest in a few weeks to gather drone footage, and interview foresters and biologists about the work they do. Then, they'll return to school, work their editing magic, and deliver informational and promotional videos for use on social media platforms. The fees they charge are then reinvested in the Digital Media Arts program for future learners. WIN-WIN-WIN! We already knew our local high school was THE place to go for signage. Now we know they are also THE place to go for social media content creation and management.
